Mr. Thompson’s passion for life is evident in his paintings of Nantucket Island’s beautiful landscapes, seascapes, lighthouses, lightship baskets, sailboats, and cottages. He also has painted extensively through out New England including Cape Cod, Maine, and Massachusetts as well as in South Carolina, Florida, the British West Indies, and throughout Europe.

William belongs to the Nantucket Art Association and loves painting “on the scene” and talking with interested observers. He works in watercolors as well as oils and full strength acrylics. He resides on Nantucket and in suburban Boston.
